Anime Club

The Anime Club watches episodes of Japanese animated shows that are subtitled in English but spoken in Japanese. The shows change every few months and come in a variety of genres. Hang out with your classmates, and make new friends who enjoy Anime.

Art Club

The Art Club provides a space for students to explore their creativity alongside a small group of fellow art lovers. Projects range from traditional foundational art projects, to craft and art appreciation.

Chess Club

Chess Club is designed to allow students to learn and expand their skills in the game of chess. Students also learn and expand their critical thinking skills in a positive environment. Chess Club promotes positive sportsmanship and social interaction.

The Creative Writing Club guides writers through the creative writing process. From character development to pacing, the Creative Writing Club will give writers the tools they need for writing.

Dance Club

Dance Club is a select group of students who meet on a weekly basis to explore a variety of dance genres. Members choreograph and practice dances that culminate in an end-of-year performance.

Environmental Club

The Environmental Club aims to raise awareness and educate the school community about making sustainable choices in their daily lives to minimize our impact on the planet. Our initiatives include reducing our waste, encouraging creative reuse, and increasing recycling efforts.

GSA (Gay Straight Alliance)

The GSA club is for LGBT students and allies to learn more about LBGT in our community and how we can support our community such that everyone is accepted for who they are. We play games to learn more about the LGBT community, discuss important current events, and learn more about one another as a school.

Italian Honor Society

The Italian Honor Society is a national organization which recognizes students who have achieved excellence in the study of the Italian language. The society also promotes a greater understanding and appreciation of the Italian culture.

Korean Culture Club

The club members learn how to speak and write the language. The club members listen to a variety of K-Pop songs and learn K-Pop dance. We have Q/A sessions about Korean culture and history.

Marching Band

The EPHS Crusader Marching Band is the most visible ensemble in the EPHS Music department. The Marching Band performs at almost all football games and also in marching band competitions and festivals around Northern New Jersey. The group starts in August during summer break and continues through the first week of November. The marching band also marches in parades through the town.

Students come together to answer challenging questions that they need to use Higher order thinking to solve. Their scores are then submitted to the state to be ranked against other schools in NJ.

Musical Production

The purpose of the musical production is to provide an opportunity for students interested in all aspects of theatre (onstage and backstage) to learn about theatre and perform for their peers and community. Actors, singers, dancers, pit band musicians, technicians (lights and sound), stage managers, set designers, makeup, hair, costume, and stage crew all play an important role in the annual musical production.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society serves to enhance character, leadership, scholarship, and service in high-academically achieving members. The Four Pillars of Success Everyday Scholarship is the consistent value that is placed on academics. Everyday service is finding ways to help people regularly. Everyday leadership is being able to solve problems with consideration for others. Character is living by a set of morals and relying on the right judgement.

Peer Leadership

The purpose of the EPHS Peer Leaders Club is to be a support system underclassmen can lean on when learning how to manage their time, how to improve their abilities, and how to work efficiently in high school. Members use their own personal experiences to conduct classroom activities and share advice with the underclassmen to help teach these significant topics.

SADD

SADD empowers and mobilizes students and adult allies to engage in positive change through leadership and smart decision-making. All students collaborate to create a healthier and safer world, one positive decision at a time. Our mission is accomplished by creating, equipping, and sustaining a network of student-run chapters in schools and communities focused on peer-to-peer education. The Scarlet Quill

The purpose of the Scarlet Quill is to promote the opportunity for students to express their opinions, to celebrate the school community and to highlight various events throughout the school year. Students work together as a team to come up with new ideas and develop realistic deadlines. Strategic Gaming Club

The Strategic Gaming Club meets weekly after school. The meetings are informal settings where students play strategic board games. The club provides a venue where students can enjoy much needed face-to-face social interaction. Students will learn how to think and react in group settings with their peers. The games have been carefully picked to provide a variety of social skills. There are games that provide one vs one interaction, team vs team interaction, social deduction (a "who done it" scenario) and cooperative play where the entire group plays together to win the game. The games encourage logic building, critical thinking, and social skills. Throughout the years, students of various cognitive and social skill levels interact and form lasting friendships. The game club is open to anyone in high school.

Student Congress

Student Congress
The Student Congress is a group of elected officials representing grades 9-12. The members include the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, parliamentarian, and grade level senators (class president and senator). These officers meet with their advisor regularly to discuss issues and suggestions from students and plan and execute school-wide fundraisers and events. They attend monthly meetings with building administration and make bi-monthly reports to the Board of Education. Elections are held in May and June of the previous school year.
